KERPER RESIGNS ADVISORY ROLE IN OLM

Mr. Kerper Dwanyen, Senior Advisor to the Martha Sinoe led administration has resigned.  Mr. Dwanyen stated his reasons for resigning as the necessity to spend more time with his family, and pay more time and attention to his business.

Kerper addresses Brownie Samukai at the business forum

There have been a lot of rumors about members of the president’s staff resigning, but this has been the first one that actually happened so far.  It can be recalled that the Vice President was rumored to have come close to resigning his post due to conflicts with regards to his roles and responsibilities.

Mr. Dwanyen who was instrumental in designing winning strategies for the President’s camp in the last elections will surely be missed since he has been very useful in advising and prodding the leadership.

Though Mr. Dwanyen has attributed his resignation to spending more time with his family and contributing more time to his business, pundits believe that the rancor within the organization which has paralyzed it may be the cause of his exit.

The OLM is currently in dire straits and it is no secret that the OLM board is working overtime to have the leadership account for time and make reports.  It has been known that several deadlines have elapsed concerning reports that should have been made.

The OLM constitution has provisions for the organization to make quarterly reports and have regular meetings with its members, all of which have not obtained on a regular basis according to the constitution since the inauguration.

It is not estimated at this time what the ripple effect of this high power resignation will be, but it is expected that more will come.  The OLM temporary offices are currently housed at the ACME Mortgage offices owned by Mr. Dwanyen.

The OLM has not announced the resignation at this time.  Mr. Dwanyen tendered his resignation about 3 days ago.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jackson George has written to Mr. Dwanyen to express his sadness to see him go.  In his letter, a copy of which was just received by the BC, he stated, "Your resignation is a blow to our administration.  I hope the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee will find a common ground in getting you in the folds".

Expressing the need for Mr. Dwanyen's expertise and committment and the fact that he is leaving, Mr. George furthered, "Once again, your help and committment to the process cannot be forgotten.  May God bless you and your family and save humanity.  I wish you well in your endeavors".

Humanity in this context may be in reference to the Liberian community in Minnesota.
